January 15, 2024, Virginia, USA

NOTE:  This scholarship is made possible by an anonymous donor (DonorsTrust)

Founded nearly 100 years ago, Raisina is a senior secondary school located on Mandir Marg, New Delhi, India.  It is an English-medium school, with a special focus on the “Bengali” language and culture.  Prior to the 9th grade, Bengali is compulsory, while at the secondary level, students can opt for Hindi, Bengali or Sanskrit as their primary language.  The school has three streams of education – Science, Commerce and the Arts.

For 2024, MKK-USA plans to provide ten (10) scholarships to meritorious and needy students.  The “Scholarship Fund” will be managed by Mr. Achintya Sengupta (a 1964 graduate of Raisina) and Mrs. Kamala Mookerjee (a retired teacher from St. Thomas School).  Selection of scholars (after results are announced in March/April), will be done by Raisina’s Principal and senior teachers, in consultation with the Fund managers.
